#grainfree Pear Crisp

Try this guilt-free dessert recipe! It's perfect for the fall weather. :)

For the filling:

  • 4 organic pears (I used red star krimson pears)
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 T local honey
  • 1 t freshly grated ginger
  • 1 T coconut flour
  • Pinch Himalayan pink salt

For the crisp:

  • 1 C. raw pumpkin seeds
  • ½ C. organic coconut flakes
  • ¼ C. raw hemp seeds
  • 1 T coconut flour
  • 1 T ground organic cinnamon
  • 2 T coconut oil

+ 1 T coconut sugar for sprinkling

How To:

Oven @ 350°

1. Core & dice your pears. Place them into a large mixing bowl & add lemon juice, honey, ginger, coconut flour & salt. Mix well.

2. Lightly grease your baking dish (I used a 9x13) with some coconut oil. Add the filling to the dish & start making the topping.

3. Add all of the remaining ingredients, except the coconut sugar, into a food processor. Pulse 10-15 times or until everything is combined.

4. Sprinkle the mixture evenly on top of your filling. Finish off the crisp with a dusting of coconut sugar & into the oven it goes for 35-45 minutes.

5. You’ll know it’s done when the pears are tender. Pierce them with a knife to test. When finished, allow your crisp to chill on the counter for at least 10 minutes

Serve this with some coconut milk based ice cream & you’re golden!
