#bCommitted Bee Profile - Beth Kite

Beth started coming to Kor180 in September 2013. Her commitment has inspired our team to keep pushing forward & we believe her answers below will help you do the same.

Thanks for being awesome Beth!

Q: Where are you from?

A: St.Paris, Ohio

Q: What do you do for a living?

A: Community Marketing Manager – Texas for NTN Buzztime

Q: What’s your favorite pre-kor180 pump-up song?

A: Anything from U2

Q: What has been your biggest challenge in the last year?

A: One of my biggest challenges has been running a ½ marathon. I am not really a runner, but every year I pick one Disney half marathon to complete. (see picture above!) I previously worked at Disney, so running through the theme parks I'm thinking: "I would be doing this anyway if I still worked as a cast member." So far I have ran 4 Disney Princesses half marathons and the Disney half marathon. There is just something about Mickey giving you a high five when crossing the finish line.

Q: Do you have a personal motto that keeps you pushing through challenges like that?

A: 110% is my motto. I give everything 110%. Why stop at 100? You need to be “better than the best”. If I am going to run/walk 13.1m or do a plank for a few seconds longer, I just think “give it 110%” and do your best.

Q: Why do you think commitment can be so difficult to achieve?

A: I don’t like to fail, who does? I think the fear of failure scares most people away. But once I choose to do something, I need to get stronger, and go for it. Kor180 has been a challenge for me sometimes, but I am committed and always giving that 110% even if it is at 6am!

Q: Why do you choose to workout to Kor180?

A: Kor180 has been great from the beginning. Maja helped me early on during my free week and challenged me to get stronger and more confident in myself. I was intrigued that the staff really does care about you and your progress. There are days that you might not feel as strong but they push you to do what YOU can do for that day. The high energy music helps as well even during the reform classes.

Q: After a hard day, what’s your go-to comfort food?

A: Strawberry Protein Shake

Q: How does kor180 keep you committed?

A: The fact that you ARE committed to going once you sign up …I sometimes think “is sleeping in worth $20?” This model seems to work for me.

Q: What’s your favorite quote that keeps you going when you want to give up?

A: I don't necessarily have a favorite quote, but anytime I hear the words “110%” I know I need to try just a little bit harder. I was in the Ohio University Marching 110 Band and we used the term “110” with great pride. Always giving it what you got and to be “better than the best ever”.
